About Madam Chutney

The moment one steps inside Madam Chutney, a subtle blend of aromas sets the tone, hinting at the complex spices to come. Warm lighting and simple decor create an intimate yet unpretentious environment, well suited for both casual meals and quieter evenings. Observations from Madam Chutney reviews across various platforms often highlight the staff’s attentive but unobtrusive manner, which complements the relaxed atmosphere rather than detracting from it. While the seating is cozy, the space can feel a bit cramped during busy hours, possibly impacting comfort during peak times.

Rich textures dominate the culinary experience, with the Madam Chutney menu impressing through a variety of dishes that lean into authentic flavors without overwhelming the palate. The tandoori chicken and vegetable korma showcase a thoughtful balance of heat and subtlety, reflecting traditional Indian cooking techniques that have been adapted for a broad audience. Visuals found in Madam Chutney photos reveal generous portions and vibrant presentations that match the enticing descriptions. However, some might find the pricing slightly on the higher side for the neighborhood, though portions generally justify the expense.

It’s worth noting how the restaurant's careful approach to spice levels accommodates diverse tastes, a factor often praised in Madam Chutney’s restaurant discussions online. The wine list, though limited, complements the menu by offering a few well-chosen options to accompany the meal. Observing the flow of the evening, one can detect a practiced rhythm among kitchen and waitstaff that maintains timely service even during busy spells, though occasional delays with popular dishes occur. Overall, the dining experience embodies a respectful ode to Indian cuisine, balanced with the expectations of Munich’s eclectic culinary scene.

Madam Chutney is a pretty fun Indian spot in Munich with a nice casual vibe. The tandoori chicken was absolutely the highlight of the evening – juicy, flavorful, perfectly marinated and grilled. Pav Bhaji was also very nice, good spice balance and comforting street style taste. However, the golgappe were a bit disappointing. Average taste and served without any fillings. Could be better. Not worth the price. To end on a positive note – the chai was excellent. Proper Indian style… aromatic, balanced sweetness, and genuinely satisfying. Overall: really good place especially for tandoori & chai. Some items hit stronger than others, but still worth going.

Super amazing experience! I loved the interior design, amazing outdoor seating. It felt like home The food was ready super fast and their Naan was amazing. I had Tawa chicken, I expected to be more spicy but was okish spicy. Mango lassi was really delicious. It was not the most authentic Indian place I‘ve been, but totally worth trying specially for a cozy date

One of my favorite restaurants in Munich! I visit here every few weeks or so, and the food is consistently delicious. The flavors are rich and authentic. Also portion size is decent. The service is friendly, and the ambiance is aesthetic, making it a great spot for both casual meals and small gatherings. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Highly recommended overall.

Visited last week with parents for lunch. Great service, excellent spread, worth every penny. The biryani was hands down the best biryani I tried in Germany, rich, flavor packed, succulent, just melting in the mouth. The portions were huge, ambience was outstanding. Highly recommended, cant wait to visit again.

Awesome food, not a watered down version. Highly recommend the papri chaat. People, please try the Rose lassi. It is actually something that people like in the north of India. Indians never drink mango lassi at a restaurant. Madam Chutney has to sell it otherwise Europeans will think it's not a proper Indian restaurant. Paan ice cream is to die for. It literally has paan in it, not just flavoured.

Had high expectations of this place after reading about it on media and seeing photos on Instagram. Looks like its famous among local german crowd, had people waiting outside. All tables were full. You get the vibe of the typical Indian restaurant that is fully buzzing with people. Sadly, taste of the foods were not the best. Keema Pav - Never seen on any other menu. You could try it BUT the pav was roasted well but the down half of the pav was half baked. The well roasting with butter could not hide the undone down half of the pav. Keema was great!! Coming to the next, Dragon chicken. Do not be deceived with pics on social media. They tried to toss in sauces and paprika but unfortunately was not completely mixed. Chicken was too dry. Chilli cheese naan - I expected ‘cheese’ but i strongly feel it was ‘cottage cheese- paneer’ on the inside. Awadhi chicken korma - this was subtle and nice. But definitely not Awadhi!! Jackfruit biryani was good and tasted well!! Thankfully i stopped ordering more as was not satisfied with the ordered food. Some unique items i see in menu are Paan ice cream, seekh kabab, kathi rolls, honey prawns, lamb shankh Would have loved to tried all these.

Its a nice indian restaurant, taste and flavour was good. A small disappointing was the naan which we got wasn’t hot and felt bit hard and mango lassi it had this saffron or cardamom flavour bit overpowering. But chef special or recommend chicken tikka and mutton roganjosh was really good flavour. Chicken tikka had some dips, it was spot on !! Too good ! Overall a good experience and ambience. Better book a reservation, as i felt the place was fully occupied on monday.
